Dr Dunlop trained in medicine and surgery at the University of Sydney and undertook international post-graduate training in Practical Dermatology through the University of Wales, UK, making her an alumnus of the University of Sydney, the University of Wales, and the Singapore Skin Hospital.

In Australia Dr Dunlop has gained further qualifications including:

• Diploma of Laser Medicine by the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery
• Certificate of Sclerotherapy by the Australasian College of Phlebology
